OUTREACH
Civic Beautification & Agriculture (Judy Wright & Caroline Grady, Co-Chairs)
Planting a tree on Arbor Day
Members work together and in collaboration with local public/private groups to enhance the beauty of the town, preserve historical values and promote environmental stewardship. Current projects include a celebration of Arbor Day with a yearly tree donation to the town, Henderson Garden, planted urns outside old Town Hall and the Robb Center, and, more recently, guided walks on town conservation land to promote environmental stewardship. Throughout spring, summer and fall, we provide hands-on care for the Henderson garden. Our committee meets both formally and informally with lively discussions around plants, design, planning, and maintenance.
